The Why Behind Our Mission
Cancer has touched Steph’s life in profound ways. Her uncle passed away from melanoma, an aggressive skin cancer that is all too common in Australia. Her father has battled multiple skin cancers, constantly reminding the family of the harsh realities of living under the intense Australian sun. Most recently, her cousin has been undergoing treatment for breast cancer and her father-in-law was diagnosed with brain cancer.
These personal experiences have shaped Steph’s passion for sun safety, leading to the creation of Little Fisho. Sun protection is not just a marketing angle for us — it’s a deeply personal mission. Steph understands the emotional and physical toll cancer can take on families, and she wants to help other parents protect their children’s skin from the dangers of overexposure to the sun.
What We Do
Every month, 5% of our profits go directly to vital cancer research, awareness programs and support services across Australia. By donating to this cause, we hope to raise awareness about the importance of sun protection, particularly for babies and young children. Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, and it’s essential that we educate families about the importance of staying safe outdoors.
