One year ago on the Easter long weekend, the idea for Little Fisho was born… and it all started with a whole lot of FOMO!

Last Easter, we packed up the family and hit the road for a fishing holiday to Karumba. It was our first big adventure as new parents, and we were SO excited for our daughter Kyra’s first fishing trip. She was just four months old, and we couldn’t wait to share our love of boating, camping, and fishing with her.

But when it came time to get Kyra ready for a day out on the water, I hit a major roadblock.

I couldn’t find a single baby fishing shirt or onesie that offered full-body sun protection...

Everything I came across left her legs exposed... not ideal in the tropical heat of Far North Queensland. I wanted something that would keep her cool, comfortable and protected from the harsh Aussie sun… but there was nothing that ticked all the boxes.

And because babies under six months aren't recommended to wear sunscreen, that meant the only safe option was to stay back at the campsite while everyone else headed out on the boat.

We had a centre console with no shade, and I just couldn’t take the risk of her overheating or getting sunburnt.

So I stayed behind in the cabin with my baby… and the biggest dose of FOMO I’ve ever felt.
